Google AdWords Remarketing Just Got a Lot Simpler

Keeping up with all the new updates with Google AdWords is a full time job. What now, you ask? This past Friday, Google AdWords unleashed new changes to remarketing. From now on, to create more refined lists, you will need to only place the remarketing code once through out your entire website. Once you do this, you can create as many lists as you need.

For example, you can simply create an audience group for visitors that visited your body shop pages. All you need to do is create a list for pages where the URL contains “body-shop.”

If you are setting up remarketing for the first time, follow the below instructions.

1. In your campaigns tab click on shared library. google adwords campaign
2. Click on audiences.

3. Click on set up remarketing

4. Now you will see your remarketing code called “main list.” Place it on every page of your website or send it to your Webmaster.

Now you can create specific list – or do it later!

Creating a List

If you already have a code on every page of your website, then you can start creating specific lists right now.

Head to the audiences, which is under shared library, select the new audience tab and choose remarketing list.

In the coming weeks we will see more options come out, such as the ability to show ads to audiences that are similar to yours but who may have not come to your website yet.

Below are helpful resources from Google for you to get familiar with the new changes:
